Vancouver Christmas Market at Jack Poole Plaza

The Vancouver Christmas Market is the biggest and best known holiday market in the region. It celebrates its 16th year in 2026 and runs from November 16 to December 24 at Jack Poole Plaza, 1055 Canada Place, on the downtown waterfront. Jack Poole Plaza sits on the far side of the Convention Centre from Canada Place, beside the Olympic Cauldron, and it is a short walk from Waterfront Station.

The market is built like a German village, with more than 90 wooden huts selling ornaments, handmade gifts, mulled wine and hot food. Expect raclette, schnitzel, spƤtzle, goulash and sausages, plus a towering Christmas Pyramid with a Flying Stage on its upper level for live music. This year the market is adding five new experiences as part of what organizers call its largest expansion yet.

Festive stalls and glowing lights at the Vancouver Christmas Market

Admission is ticketed, and season passes and general admission tickets are sold online. Evenings feel the most magical once the lights are on, but they are also the busiest, so weeknights are the calmer choice. For more on the long-running market, see our Vancouver Christmas Market guide or the official Vancouver Christmas Market website.

Circle Craft Holiday Market

Circle Craft is the market to visit if your goal is handmade gifts. It runs November 11 to 15, 2026 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, 1055 Canada Place, which puts it in the same area as the Vancouver Christmas Market and just before that market opens. It has been a local tradition for more than 50 years.

More than 315 Canadian artisans take part, selling ceramics, wooden toys, glassware, leather goods, clothing, handmade soaps and gourmet treats. There is also live music and craft demonstrations. Tickets are required, and early-bird discounts are usually offered, so check the Circle Craft website before you go.

Shipyards Christmas Market in North Vancouver

The Shipyards Christmas Market is the best free Christmas market in the region. It runs from November 27 to December 24, 2026 at Shipbuilders’ Square, 125 Victory Ship Way, in Lower Lonsdale on the North Vancouver waterfront.

More than 90 wooden chalets fill the square, with an outdoor ice rink that is free to skate, a Santa chalet and live music. The setting is the big draw: the market looks across the water to the downtown skyline, and the SeaBus from Waterfront Station to Lonsdale Quay makes the trip part of the outing. Details are on the Shipyards Christmas Market website.

Langley Christmas Village

Langley Christmas Village is new in 2026 and is the first big European style Christmas market in Langley City. It is run by Parfait Productions in partnership with the City of Langley, the same team behind the Shipyards market, and it opens on November 25 and runs to December 24.

Like its North Vancouver sister market, it is free to enter and features around 100 vendors, daily live entertainment and a Santa chalet. It is a good choice if you live in the Fraser Valley or want to pair a market visit with a day in Fort Langley. Check the City of Langley event page for the exact site and schedule.

Make It Vancouver Christmas Craft Show

Make It Vancouver is the city’s large December craft fair, held at the PNE Forum, 2901 East Hastings Street. In 2026 it runs Thursday to Sunday, December 10 to 13, packed into a single weekend instead of two. It started in 2009 with about 60 vendors and now fills the Forum with hundreds of local makers.

It is a good late-season stop for last-minute gifts, with handmade jewellery, art, home goods, food and fashion in one building. Exact opening times and admission details are confirmed closer to the date, so check the official event page.

Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market

The Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market is one of the largest holiday craft fairs in the region and a good reason for a day trip to Chilliwack. It runs from Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22, 2026 at Chilliwack Heritage Park, 44140 Luckakuck Way, and marks its 51st season with more than 240 artisans.

The market is hosted by the Chilliwack Arts Council. Chilliwack Heritage Park also hosts the All About Christmas Gifts Expo on December 11 to 13, so you can plan a second visit if you want more shopping.

Cloverdale Grand Christmas Market

Surrey’s Cloverdale Fairgrounds hosts the Cloverdale Grand Christmas Market, listed for Saturday, November 14, 2026 with free entry. It is an early-season market, so it works well if you want to start gift shopping before the larger events open. See our Surrey guide for more to do nearby, and confirm the time and vendor list on the organizer’s page.

Christmas lights on a heritage building in Steveston Village, Richmond

Steveston Village Craft Fair

The Steveston Village Craft Fair takes place on Saturday, November 28, 2026 at the Steveston Community Centre, 4111 Moncton Street in Richmond, and features more than 100 vendors. It is a neighbourhood fair, so the mood is relaxed and local.

Pair it with a stroll through Steveston Village and a walk along Fisherman’s Wharf for fish and chips, harbour views and a festive afternoon in Richmond.

New West Holiday Market

The New West Holiday Market is an outdoor artisan market held outside New Westminster City Hall on December 12 and 13, 2026. It is hosted by the New Westminster Farmers Market, it is free to attend, and this is its seventh year.

The two-day format makes it an easy weekend stop, and New Westminster’s riverfront and Quay are close by for a coffee or a walk afterward.

Coquitlam Christmas Night Market

The Coquitlam Christmas Night Market is an evening artisan market beside Lafarge Lake in early December. In past years it has run on a Friday and Saturday evening in the first half of the month, and dates for 2026 are still to be confirmed, so check the City of Coquitlam event listings before you plan. See our Coquitlam guide for more to do around the lake.

Visitors walking through Fort Langley Village on a busy day

Christmas in the Village in Fort Langley

Fort Langley hosts a three-day festive market called Christmas in the Village, listed for December 18 to 20, 2026 at 9167 Glover Road. The heritage streets of Fort Langley Village are already one of the prettiest places to shop for gifts in the Fraser Valley, and the market adds festive stalls to that.

Confirm the dates and vendor details before you visit, since this is a smaller local event. Our Fort Langley guide covers the village, the national historic site and the nearby cafes.

Christmas light tunnel at Burnaby Village Museum

Festive Village at Burnaby Village Museum

Festive Village, formerly called Heritage Christmas, is not a market, but it is one of the best free holiday outings in the region and fits well beside a market day. Burnaby Village Museum at 6501 Deer Lake Avenue turns its 1920s heritage village into a glowing winter attraction, starting in late November and running into early January.

Expect Christmas lights, decorated heritage buildings, live carolling and a visit with Santa. Admission has been free in past years, and the museum has closed on some days, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so check the schedule on the City of Burnaby website. For more light displays, see our guide to the best Christmas lights in Vancouver.

Fresh food stalls inside Granville Island Public Market

Granville Island Public Market

Granville Island Public Market is open year-round rather than being a seasonal Christmas market, but it is one of the best places in the city to shop for edible gifts. Think smoked salmon, cheese, bread, preserves, chocolate and tea, all gathered under one roof on the waterfront.

Read the Granville Island Public Market guide for what to eat and buy, and the Granville Island guide for the shops and studios around it.

Tips for Visiting Christmas Markets in Vancouver

  • Buy tickets online for ticketed markets such as the Vancouver Christmas Market and Circle Craft, since pre-sale options and early-bird deals are often offered.
  • Go on a weeknight or early in the day for smaller crowds. Weekends and the weeks before Christmas are the busiest.
  • Take transit where you can. Waterfront Station is close to Jack Poole Plaza, and the SeaBus to Lonsdale Quay is the easiest way to reach the Shipyards market.
  • Dress for Vancouver weather. Most markets are outdoors, and rain and damp cold are common in late November and December.
  • Bring a card and a little cash, since some small vendors at craft fairs may prefer one over the other.
  • Combine a market with other seasonal outings, such as the VanDusen Festival of Lights, and see our guides to Christmas activities and events and things to do in Vancouver in November.
