Vancouver Filming Signs and Production Codes
If you see small signs with a few letters on lamp posts or fences, you are probably looking at a production sign. Crews use these codes, and often a fake working title, to point cast and crew to the set while keeping crowds away. Here are the signs and working titles tied to 2026’s shows.

Why Are So Many Shows Filmed in Vancouver?
Vancouver earned the nickname Hollywood North because it can play almost anywhere. A single week of shooting can turn glass towers into a big American city, a forest into Northern California, and a historic block into London, which is how Watson used the city. Several factors keep productions coming back:
- Soundstages such as The Bridge Studios, Vancouver Film Studios, Martini Studios and the new Lake City Studios in Burnaby.
- Experienced crews and production support from Creative BC.
- Mountains, ocean, forest and city streets within a short drive of each other.

Can You Watch Filming in Vancouver?
Often yes, from a distance. Public places like the Stanley Park Seawall, English Bay Beach and the Lions Gate Bridge area are popular with productions, and crews post notices for nearby residents before closing a street. Most scripted series do not run public audiences, so there is usually no way to take a seat on set.
- Stay behind the crew’s perimeter and follow any request from production assistants.
- Do not walk through a shot, and keep noise down when cameras are rolling.
- Ask before taking photos near actors, and avoid sharing exact set details that a production has asked people to keep private.
